I believe Richmond’s Commonwealth’s Attorney should be our chief criminal justice reform and chief public safety officer, not just our top prosecutor.

 

I believe our prosecutors must advocate to create public safety in the service of all people and the rule of law.

 

And I believe our prosecutors are not only attorneys – they are leaders and managers to these ends.

 

For these beliefs, I pledge to lead an office dedicated to community-centered, radically candid, and transparent advocacy for public safety and procedural justice for all people in Richmond.
 

And I give you my word:  We will use the organizing power of our office to mold consensus in our City on reforms for a humane and effective criminal justice system that works for all of us.
